Mucho black birds and mucho rain

Sometimes as I look out my kitchen window onto the fields in the back and I can see hundreds of blackbirds and sometimes red or green birds.  It is not unusual to see 200+ birds at a time.  I haven't made it out to take a picture of that many together but I do have a picture of  smaller amount gathered together.  These pictures were taken as I walked around the campus.

Sometimes it just rains like crazy in the afternoon and evening.  Here the streets are flooded and so is the drainage system.

I was standing just inside the clinic trying not to get my cell phone/camera wet

These elders with no umbrellas were running for cover

In the middle of the storm Elder Thomas Marz from my ward came in to the clinic with his companion to get crackers for a Hermana in their district who was sick and hungry.  I think a little touch of flu or virus came with the last set of North American missionaries last Wednesday.
