I was very impressed with the cultural performance at a downtown theater. One of the men who works here at the CCM was the main character in the production. The event told the story of a man and his wife whose little boy died. As time progressed she and then he were introduced to the gospel and they learned that if they were sealed together in the temple they would be together with their little boy in the life after this one. (Today that same man came to our cafeteria and lead everyone in the nation anthem. We ate on table cloths which were red, white and green and had special sweet Mexican Treats for dessert.

The cast of the cultural program. They had been working on this production that they put on 6 times for a period of 6 months. After practices they sometime had to sleep at the church or the theater where they practiced because the rehearsals went so late that the buses were not running anymore. Many people here depend on bus for transportation.
As with many shows of this kind the cast came out into the isle to sing and perform. This sister in the colorful skirt by us was so emotional at the end of the program that she could not sing the words to The Spirit of God.
The man and wife off to the side were rejoicing about temple blessing because now they would have their deceased son with them again.
The program showed the persecution the saints dealt with in Mexico. These two men were killed before a firing squad because they would not renounce the gospel of Jesus Christ.
